I haven't had time (or the drive) to post anything after Christmas! Jesus.
Just came back from the New Years' camp at Korpirauha. This was my fifth consecutive new year spent at camp! Whoa. It was a lot of fun though, because there was a group of my friends, so...
We agreed to go see the Desolation of Smaug again on the 2nd (tomorrow, that is) so we're meeting up at J's tonight to watch an Unexpected Journey prior to seeing DoS. Ah, I just really love the movies! And I've discovered so many fun things and blogs about the interviews and other stuff that the actors do (such as the height editing and how that affects their acting etc.) I just feel like I'm even more hyped up about everything.
For Christmas, my parents gave me 250€ for the Nintendo 3DS and I got another 50€ from my grandma, so on the 27th I went out to buy some games with a friend! She had never seen Thor: the Dark World so I volunteered to go see it with her - it was only my fourth time seeing that at the cinema, eh. I have also been planning to dye my hair brown at some point so I just went for it and bought a dark neutral brown color. Especially after seeing the Thor movie again I couldn't resist being a little Loki for a while. Now I just need to ask J to shear off some of the tips of my hair so I can fashion it into a mustache on the Diak cruise next week.
The Ghibli marathon we've been planning will also be held from Friday to Saturday - 10-11 Ghibli movies in a row! It's going to be a lot of fun even though there are going to be some movies on that list that I won't really care about seeing, such as Tales from Earthsea, so I'll just amuse myself on Tumblr. while they watch those, I guess.
The first external game I got for my 3DS system (aka in addition to the pre-installed Super Mario 3D Land) was the latest Legend of Zelda release for the DS - A Link Between Worlds. I've played it through at least two story cycles and it's a lot of fun, if maybe a little un-challenging. Both the puzzles and the monsters have been very easy to go through. Still, the game is beautiful and I like traveling between Hyrule and Lorule. Also, the discovering and collecting of the lost Maiamai babies is a very entertaining side quest - if only I could already get the damn Pegasos Boots so I could shake them off trees and monuments! Argh.
Anyway, I'm leaving to enjoy some of the last chocolates I still have left over from Christmas.
